Things people ask

If yours isn’t here, just ring and ask.

I work to a rapid turnaround, and you get a specific time estimate as part of the quote, based on what the project actually involves. A straightforward brochure site moves quickly. Booking systems, payments or anything connecting to a system you already use take longer, and I will always tell you that up front rather than let a date slip. The one thing that reliably delays any build is waiting on your logo and artwork, so having that ready keeps things moving.
Select “New Startup” on the enquiry form and I will quote you the reduced build price. I run a few brief checks first, usually Companies House and your trading history, to confirm the business is genuinely in its early stages. It is a straightforward check and it is not intended to catch anybody out. It simply keeps the discount available for the businesses it is meant for.
Yes. If you are starting a business from nothing, I can put the whole identity together rather than just the site: a logo, the website built around it, and the domain and email address to match, all designed at the same time so everything actually fits together. Once it is live it is yours to run, or you can add ongoing maintenance and I will keep the whole thing looked after in the background instead.
Yes, and for most businesses I would recommend it. It covers the hosting, the security certificate, keeping an eye on the site so it stays online, and any text or image changes you need along the way. Most clients message me on WhatsApp with the change and it is done the same working day. It is billed monthly, it is optional, and you can cancel it at any time. If your site is genuinely static and never needs touching, you do not have to take it.
To an extent, and it is worth being clear about how. Every site I build is put together properly for search from the start. That means correct page structure, sensible titles and descriptions, and fast loading, and it is included in the build price. Beyond that I can register your domain, create and verify your Google Business listing so you show up in local map results, and set up Google Workspace so your email runs on your own domain. Those are charged separately. I also offer ongoing search work for a small monthly fee, covering content and location pages aimed at the terms your customers actually search for, plus reporting on where you rank. It is steady work rather than an overnight result, but for a local business it is usually the cheapest advertising available.
Yes, a short written agreement setting out what I am building, what it costs and when it will be delivered. It is there for the security of both parties, so that we each know exactly what was agreed if a question comes up later. It does not tie you into any ongoing commitment beyond the build itself.
In most cases, yes. Booking calendars, card and Apple Pay checkout through whatever provider you use, client logins, and pulling data in from a system you already have are all well within what I do, and it is work I have spent years on. That will take longer than a straightforward brochure site, so tell me what you need and I will quote you a realistic timescale and price.
