A bit about me

My name is James. I have many years of experience working on front end and back end development. JD Web Design is the result of deciding to work with business owners directly rather than through the layers an agency puts in the way.

It is a deliberately small operation. I take the brief, I design the site, I write the code, and I am still the person who updates it when your opening hours change two years from now. You are dealing with one developer from start to finish.

Agencies do good work, and for a large project the structure earns its cost. For a business that needs a professional, fast, well built website, you are often paying for a project manager, a designer, a developer and the office they sit in, while the person actually assigned to your code is the most junior available.

What I offer instead is direct access, realistic timescales and full ownership of what you pay for. The code is yours outright. There is no proprietary platform to stay locked into and no hosting arrangement designed to make leaving difficult.
